The Arpad Szenes / Vieira da Silva Foundation started in 1988 in the former Fabric Factory Headquarters in Lisbon. A museum and a documentation and research center were set up to study and disseminate the work of plastic artists Arpad Szenes and Maria Helena Vieira da Silva, as well as other contemporary artists.

The Arpad Szenes / Vieira da Silva Foundation created Faz Futuro, a project aimed at young people between the ages of 15 and 30, interested in being part of the museum’s programming, contributing to the organization of activities and events, collaborating with various artists, develop artistic knowledge and skills and meet professionals in the industry. The support also included the celebration of the anniversary of painter Vieira da Silva, an event organized by the museum, with the objective of promoting the artist’s work, revitalizing the space and offering the public the chance to participate in workshops.
