In partnership with the Millennium bcp Foundation, the Municipality of Faro organized the António Ramos Rosa National Poetry Prize, a contest in honor of the Farense-born poet António Ramos Rosa, and with the purpose of promoting the work of new poets and recognizing works of the already consecrated artists. All the editions were attended by more than 50 artists, and prizes were awarded to poets of recognized literary excellence such as Fernando Echevarria, Fernando Guimarães, Nuno Júdice, João Rui de Sousa, Luís Quintais e João Luís Barreto Guimarães.
