The Architecture Triennial was created between 2005 and 2006 with the aim of promoting national and international architecture through exhibitions, conferences, contests and events.

In collaboration with the Millennium bcp Foundation, the Triennial is made of three awards: the Millennium bcp Triennial Career Award; the Triennial Millennium bcp Universities Award and the Millennium bcp Triennial Début Award. With guided visits to the Millennium bcp building on Rua Augusta, the “Open House” event was created.
