The General Directorate of the Arts participated in the Venice Biennial, an international event for the dissemination of works by artists. DGArtes participated in the 2016 and 2017 editions of the Biennial with the project “Neighborhood: Where Álvaro finds Aldo”, a proposal focused on the influence of Aldo Rossi’s legacy on the work of Álvaro Siza.

In 2017 , “Uncertain Measure” by José Pedro Croft, curated by João Pinharanda, was shown at the event.
