Considered one of the main scientific research centers in Portugal, the João Lobo Antunes – Institute of Molecular Medicine, has been operating since 2002 in the field of biomedical research.

The Foundation has decided to support a project of the Center for Brain Tumor Research (CITC) on the development of pediatric brain tumors by signing a three-year protocol. Throughout the first period, support provided by the Foundation contributed to the creation of a Brain Tumor Bank in the Biobank-iMM, with the objective of storing biological samples collected from patients to help growing tumor in laboratory and help study this important subject.

The support granted also covered the 7th edition of the international doctoral meeting in Biomedical Sciences where scientific papers were presented to the health community.
